New Year's Eve Tradition
I guess this is how traditions get started. Last year Sebastian and I went on a hike the day of New Year's Eve up Cowles mountain. It felt good to end the year experiencing something like that with him.
This year we went down to Imperial Beach and the Tijuana Bird Estuary. IB is the country's most south western city. In fact, just across from that little river in the pictures
is Mexico. There is also an area at the beach that divides the two countries and people go to see relatives through the fence who cannot cross the border.
Sebastian's favorite part was seeing the ducks and hawks and cranes in the nature preserve, until we got to the beach and he got into the sand.
Well, 2008 was a doozy, here's to 2009. We wish we could see everyone to celebrate. Be well.
