Being able to catch a special moment is rare. I was fortunate enough tonight to do just that. Boys weekend, Amy in LA. Great day with Sebastian today (Laser Tag!) Watched Karate Kid and a Clippers game, let him go to bed late. After a while of laying in bed he started asking me all these deep questions. At this point it was about 9:30, so my tendency was to hush him up and make him go to bed. Instead I caught myself and pulled up a chair and we talked, really talked, about life, the world, creation, religion, etc. I have not had this deep of a conversation with ANYONE in long time. He ended up coming up with theories of his own that were amazing. I feel like waking him up now!


We talk about how our kids are so tuned out but sometimes we need to catch ourselves doing the same. Moments like this are what matter.
